Brenda: From the catwalk to Charity work

Her smiling face is allover Billboards on Kampala streets and in many of her poses on the huge images, her posture exudes confidence and some pint of arrogance yet beyond that character lies a friendly and caring woman. The same figure has dominated the cover pages of many of the region's glamour magazines and has earned the personality a number of advertising opportunities in the corporate sector until she retired to concentrate on her family and on making a contribution to society.

Beyond the posturing and public attention that comes with the status , the former model casts a simple lifestyle and has dedicated her life to working to promote the interests of young women through the Girls Hope Ministry Project. Emulating the example of her husband former Uganda International and ex-professional football player Daniel Ntale, who started up Kampala School of Excellence Ministries to develop the talents or disadvantaged children and youths, Brenda ventured into organizing support for young women starting with her community in Rubaga.

Daniel Ntale founded the Kampala School of Excellence Ministries in 2000 to promote the talents of young people in his Rubaga Community. Then a professional footballer plying his trade in Asia, he was touched by the conditions in his home neignbourhood that he started a free football club to help develop the talents of the children. A few years later it had grown into a sports club accommodating a wide range of sports activities.
In 2007 Daniel established residential care for the most vulnerable children with support from friends for 15 children and a year later with Support from Daniel's Promise Charity, a Charity established by Cobham Tennis Coach Denise Gwatkin in his name , a Children's Orphanage Center was established at Rubaga.

Girls Hope was established as an arm of Kampala School of Excellence Ministries specifically catering for the interests and working to improve the conditions of young women. From school talks to sports programs, Girls Hope promoters seek to ensure a pro-active involvement of young women in making rightful decisions. Being a ministry although embracing members of all religious inclinations, the mission of Girls Hope is to empower girls through creating opportunities for them and offering spiritual guidance bearing in mind that the Soul needs as much enrichment as the body.
